Concrete Surface Preparation:
Concrete must be cured a minimum of 7 days at 75°F (24°C) and 50% relative humidity or equivalent. Prepare surfaces in accordance with ASTM D4258 Surface Cleaning of Concrete and ASTM D4259 Abrading Concrete. Voids in concrete may require surfacing. Mortar joints should be cured a minimum of 15 days.
General Concrete Coating:
- Primer – Due to the porosity of concrete, we produce 2-part primer products that adhere within the pores of new or existing concrete surfaces and strengthen the top layers of concrete and add needed adhesion for a second layer of coating.
- Coating – Xpordynamics offers residential, commercial, and industrial coats that will work for all flooring applications. Industrial chemical resistant coatings are ideal for many purposes, or high-strength clear coatings allow for esthetic purposes.
- Top–Coat – A third coat will add non-slip attributes, or additional esthetic values as required.
*The third coat is mainly required for non-slip and esthetic purposes.
Voids in Concrete – Xplordynamics produces trawlable paste grade epoxies to fill voids in concrete and strengthen the substrate.
